Using Zotero as Digital Asset Management Software

PreviousPage 2 of 2

That’s a really thoughtful setup you’ve clearly put a lot of time into refining your structure. Zotero is definitely a solid choice for managing references, notes, and organization, especially for genealogy. If you’re looking to take it a step further, you might want to explore dedicated project management or organization tools like MindManager or Evernote, which can help you visually map relationships between collections, notes, and tasks. For document handling, Corel PDF Fusion or similar PDF editors can be useful for merging, annotating, and archiving source files in a clean way. Pairing Zotero with one or two of these tools could give you both the archival accuracy you want and the flexibility to manage side-tasks like citations, to-do lists, and quick edits more efficiently.
