For discussions about Zotero for genealogy, I will be hosting a dedicated group in the Genealogy Social area of the

I'm pursuing a local history project on a little North Carolina railroad town that existed only from 1890 - 1953 while the railroad and post office were there. My paternal ancestors came from this area and there's lots of history of the area that should be recorded - but is fading fast from memory. That, coupled with doing the family genealogy, occupies a large portion of my time. I'm also a serious bird photographer. In addition, I am a grandparent with two lovely grandchildren. Life is good, but busy. I've spent a large amount of time working with citation management programs - especially EndNote - in my academic work. As soon as I became aware of Zotero, and used it a little bit, I dropped EndNote and converted everything over to Zotero. I'm glad I did.
